Pull Out Garbage Bins In Outdoor Kitchen Cabinets

A garbage bin is really helpful in keeping the cooking area and bar area clean. Our 4 Life Outdoor cabinets do not come with a garbage unit but you can easily add one into our 2-door cabinet or drawer + 2-door cabinet, just like in your interior kitchen cabinets.

Our stainless steel cabinets have a useable depth of 21 1/4 inches and 29 inches wide. Many garbage bin pull-outs are 23-inches so do make note of the depth of the garbage bin you select. Below is a list of garbage bins that fit within our outdoor cabinets. These all have a depth of 20-inches with various widths.

Please note that the below options will need you to drill holes to the cabinet floor to secure the garbage bin slides to the cabinets. The screws which come with the garbage bin will not work, as they have been designed for wood cabinets. To fasten the garbage slides, buy nuts and bolts of the same diameter as the screws which came with the garbage bin. Line up the slider to the cabinet floor and mark where the holes need to be. With a drill bit designed to penetrate stainless steel, drill the holes where needed. You can now place the garbage bin slides to line up with the new holes and secure them with the nut and bolts.

This single pull-out, soft-close trash can, from Real Solutions by Knape & Vogt, features one 35 qt. platinum-colored waste bin with a lid, held in place securely on a sliding steel frame.

The unit pulls out of the cabinet smoothly on heavy-duty, full-extension ball-bearing slides, and closes gently and quietly with soft-close technology.

The lid helps conceal odors and secures the waste bag. It includes a clip-on handle for easy removal of the bin from the cabinet. This bin installs easily with only 4 screws. 

The dimensions of this unit are 20 in. H x 10 in. W x 20 in. D. You could place two of these within the cabinets.  This unit costs $94.92 at Home Depot. 

Our favorite is this Knape & Vogt SBM Series double waste and recycling bins. This unit features two 20 Qt. bins held in place on a sliding frame. 

A specialized wire management system keeps bins secure while pulling them out of the cabinet on Knape & Vogt epoxy-coated, heavy-duty ball bearing precision slides. The bottom-mount unit provides stability and is preassembled for fast installation. It installs easily with only 4 screws.
