When researching outdoor kitchens there are many factors to consider, but the most important is the materials used to make your outdoor kitchen last for many years.  Stainless steel has proven to be timeless and the best choice for outdoor kitchen cabinets. Stainless steel not only provides a sleek finish, it also provided a good list of benefits which make stainless the top choice.

Supreme durability

Since your outdoor kitchen is left outside, it’s at the mercy of Mother Nature.  Weather, cooking, and everyday use for 10 plus years requires the strongest of materials – and plastic or wood just does not stand up as well as a thick gauge, 304 stainless steel cabinet which has been welded for strength. All stainless steels have a high resistance to corrosion – low alloyed grades “resist corrosion in atmospheric conditions; highly alloyed grades can resist corrosion in most acids, alkaline solutions, and chloride bearing environments, even at elevated temperatures and pressures” (ASSDA). So even if you live in a coastal area or a high-humidity climate, stainless steel outdoor kitchen cabinets will stand up to the challenge.

Easy to Clean and Maintain

Our 304 stainless steel cabinets are powder coated which adds an additional protection and further reduces maintenance. However, we do recommend using a simple 1:1 filtered water and mild soap solution to clean and maintain powder coat finishes. Eco-friendly

Stainless steel is an environmentally-friendly choice.  Stainless steel is entirely recyclable, and with its extreme strength, you won’t have to replace your outdoor kitchen often to keep them looking pristine. Compared to using wood species, including cypress, ipe, teak, bamboo, and others; or using high-density polyethylene (Plastic cabinets), stainless steel is superior because of its low maintenance costs, long life, 100% recyclability, minimal emissions, and fire and corrosion resistance. Our powder-coated cabinet doors and drawers also contribute to the environmental factor.  Our colors are applied to the stainless steel using a powder coat paint finishing process which is safe for the environment and for the people who work with it. Our use of stainless steel coupled with powder coat painting is part of our sustainable manufacturing practices that minimize negative environmental effects. By doing so, we hope our cabinetry appeals to potential homeowners and tenants who are looking for environmentally friendly products For more information: Our stainless steel powder coating process
